Develop your practice with short courses in human sciences Study at your own pace on our flexible Biomed Online (short course) modules. Our short course modules are accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and if you are looking to receive qualifications for eligibility to begin Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) training or Continuing Nursing Diploma or Degree program. Professional Development (CPD). Most modules also form part of our Biomedical Studies (Distance Learning) MSc degree.

We have put together a robust set of plans to ensure our students get the same high-quality teaching while staying safe this autumn term. This includes starting term two weeks later, offering online and in-person options for all our courses, offering a January start for new students, and prioritising access for students who need to be on campus, for example, to access science labs or art studios. While our buildings are closed until the start of the autumn term, the University remains very much open. In addition to teaching, all student support and professional service departments are working remotely.
We know that many members of our community will be concerned at this time, and we are committed to providing our students and staff with the support they need. The University has been planning for several contingencies since news of the coronavirus first emerged and we are confident we can continue to provide a high-quality experience for our students.
